sole mate

Admit it.

You watch "Victoria Beckham: Coming to America."

I was glued to the tube.

Too bad I watched a press reel for the show earlier today and I swear the entire episode was on the tape. Yet I was mesmerized.

If I learned anything in the last hour, it is this -- there is yet one more reason why I want to be Posh.

I want to be a mom in heels. All the time.

Posh says that's "major." I say it's fierce.

Come on! This just screams PTA president.

The picture is from Victoria Style. It says the shoes are a Lanvin Gladiator Platform sandal.

I wannabe there

I know what you're thinking.

But you're probably also the same person who won't admit to listening to the Pussycat Dolls.

In case you haven't heard, the Spice Girls are planning a reunion tour.

And they'll hit three cities in the U.S. come December -- LA, Vegas and New York.

Um, Dad2Amara, wouldn't this make a lovely early Christmas gift for your cute wife?

What can I say? They have catchy music.

And didn't everyone want to be Posh Spice?

Actually, I think some days I'd still love to be Victoria Beckham because she's married to one hot guy! And she carries some great purses!

Anyone want to take a trip to NYC this winter?

today's good: Getting ready this morning, my fat pants were no longer tight so they can now officially be my "fat pants" again. Then I got into work and realized, "hey, it's Friday!" Rock on.
today's bad: My weekly debate begins - workout this afternoon or clean my house? Not a bad "bad" if you ask me.

my fantasy boyfriends

Askmen.com released the results of its Top 99 Most Desirable Women of 2007 so ABC News didn't want to leave out its list of top guys.

But the list leaves out some of my fantasy boyfriends. Actually the list only had one of my boys - David Beckham.

But what about Taye Diggs? That man has it going on.

And of course, I have to mention Bono. Because he is just Bono.

But the survey included Brad and Derek and Leo -- ick. Yeah, they won't be in my top 5 anytime soon...

I 'wannabe' famous

This week's prompt for the CHBM is

famous moms you want to meet
OK, I think I may have suggested this topic, and I'm stupified. Brain freeze!

I'm really not sure who I'd want to meet. I could answer Reese Witherspoon because she seems to be a working mom who has it all together - beautiful and talented. (Granted, that could be all the smoke and mirrors of Hollywood, hence the use of the word "seems.") But the more I think about it, the more I think I wouldn't want to meet her because she's no longer with Ryan Phillippe and I'd want to meet him too.

And while we're talking about hot significant others, I'd probably say Victoria Beckham because I loved her as Posh Spice (notice the Spice Girls reference in my post's title) and I love her hubby David Beckham.

But if I had to seriously sit down and think about a famous mom I'd want to converse with, it would be Carol Lin.

As if being an Asian American journalist wasn't enough reason for me to want to meet her (she's the weekend anchor over at CNN), she has endured more hardship than I would ever wish on another woman.

Like me, she never saw herself as the maternal type, but when she met and fell in love with her soulmate, they decided to take the plunge into parenthood. But even before her daughter was crawling, cancer killed Lin's husband.

I read an article about Lin a few months back, and ever since then, she's become an inspriration of sorts to me. If only we could all take struggles as gracefully as she has. She fought strong in the face of millions in front of a camera. All I have to do is face myself in the mirror. Maybe one day I'll learn to be a strong role model to my daughter, like she is to hers.
