Be certain to stretch well after your run and continue to &#39;listen&#39; to your body. If it worsens or if it doesn&#39;t subside in a week or so, then you may want to check with a professional. <BR/><BR/>When I first started increasing my mileage, I would get a nagging pain in my knees at about 7-10 miles. I pushed on and eventually it went away. It was just my body adjusting. I have a friend who did that particular diet and he said he was getting discouraged and he woke up one day about week 6 and was like "Whoa!" <BR/><BR/>So your friend is right, running builds muscle and muscle eats fat for breakfast!
