percocet is my friend
Silly me, I thought the pain would have subsided by now.
It's been seven days since I've had surgery.
Guess I forgot they rearranged my insides all in the name of good health.
I'm down to one Percocet every four hours.
I figure that's good since I was taking two every four hours.
And while I was at the hospital I was taking a hit at the drop of a hat. (I heart my IV.)
I swear, Percocet is my only friend.
TV has been a bore. No good shows on.
I've read all my magazines. And I fall asleep when I break open my books.
I'm trying to teach myself how to knit.
And there's only so many websites a girl can look at.
At least the drugs lull me to sleep.

I'm glad you're home and doing well. Keep up your spirits and take care. :)
P.S. Just out of curiosity, were you aware of my homeschooling blog? I only wonder cuz I post fun stuff there for the kiddos and since Amara is of the same age, thought you might glean inspiration. :)
Ohhh, percocet!
Percocet? Did someone say Percocet?
can we share? I declined pain killers for my sciatic nerve, but I am totally in envy of your drugs.
Take it easy, take your time and take care! I wish I could be there to help you with the knitting. ;-)
Laurie - OMG I wish you were here! I can't purl to save my life! Help!!
I don't like percs. They make me itchy and weird ... I look like a meth-head! Anyway, I'm glad you're starting to a feel a little (?) bit better.
And I fall asleep when I break open my books.
Dahling, I need to send you some good old-fashioned erotica. Nothing sleep-inducing about those books. There are some wonderfully crafted ones (awesome choreography) written by really cool ladies. I recommend anything by Emma Holly (the most down-to-earth, unassuming lady you will ever meet) and Jaci Burton (she and I share a literary agent). Teka nga, let me dig up some titles for you to download on Amazon...
